“Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked” is a 2011 American live-action/computer-animated musical comedy film and the third installment in the “Alvin and the Chipmunks” film series. The movie follows the adventures of the singing trio of Alvin, Simon, and Theodore, along with their female counterparts, the Chipettes, as they find themselves stranded on a deserted island after a mishap on a luxury cruise ship.
On the island, the chipmunks and the chipettes meet a castaway named Zoe, who has been on the island for many years and has gone slightly insane. The group tries to survive on the island while also trying to find a way to escape and get back home. Meanwhile, their manager, Dave, and his friend Ian, who also happen to be on the same cruise ship, are desperately trying to locate the missing chipmunks and chipettes.
The film features popular songs such as “Survivor” by Destiny’s Child, “Born This Way” by Lady Gaga, and “Bad Romance” by Lady Gaga, as well as original songs performed by the chipmunks and chipettes. The movie was directed by Mike Mitchell and produced by Ross Bagdasarian Jr. and Janice Karman.
