“Black Adam” is an upcoming superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. The film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and produced by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who also stars as the titular character.
The plot follows Black Adam, an ancient Egyptian god who is granted powers by the wizard Shazam, but is banished to a remote corner of the universe after he uses his powers to seek revenge. In the present day, he returns to Earth and seeks to reclaim his lost kingdom, but his quest puts him at odds with a group of superheroes known as the Justice Society of America.
The film also stars Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, and Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz. It is set to be released in theaters on July 29, 2022.
