Blitz (2011)

“Blitz” is a 2011 British crime thriller film directed by Elliott Lester and starring Jason Statham, Paddy Considine, and Aidan Gillen. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Ken Bruen and follows Detective Sergeant Tom Brant (Statham) as he hunts for a serial killer targeting police officers in London.

As the body count rises, Brant is paired with a new partner, Sergeant Porter Nash (Considine), who has a reputation for violence and is not well-liked by his colleagues. Together, they must track down the killer, who has a personal vendetta against the police.

The film features intense action sequences and gritty, realistic depictions of violence and crime in London. Statham delivers his trademark tough-guy performance, while Considine provides a nuanced portrayal of a troubled cop struggling to come to terms with his past.
