“Deep Water” is an upcoming American psychological thriller film directed by Adrian Lyne and starring Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas. The film is based on the 1957 novel of the same name by Patricia Highsmith.
The story follows Vic and Melinda Van Allen (played by Affleck and de Armas), a wealthy and attractive couple in a seemingly perfect marriage. However, their relationship is built on a dark and dangerous arrangement in which Vic allows Melinda to have affairs with other men, as long as she remains discreet and does not leave him.
As the couple’s arrangement begins to unravel, with one of Melinda’s lovers turning up dead, Vic becomes the prime suspect in a murder investigation, leading him to confront his own demons and the secrets of his troubled marriage.
