Edge of Darkness is a 2010 American–British thriller film directed by Martin Campbell and starring Mel Gibson. Based on the 1985 BBC television series of the same name, the film follows Thomas Craven (Gibson), a Boston detective who investigates the murder of his daughter Emma (Bojana Novakovic) and uncovering the government and corporate conspiracy behind her death.
The film received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised the performances of Gibson and Novakovic, as well as the direction of Campbell. Edge of Darkness was a box office success, grossing nearly $100 million on a budget of $80 million.
