The main characters are Scorch Supernova, a famous astronaut who is the hero of BASA, and his nerdy brother Gary, who works in mission control.

It’s up to Gary and a group of alien misfits to rescue Scorch and save the planet from General Shanker’s evil plans.
The film features the voices of Brendan Fraser as Scorch, Rob Corddry as Gary, and Jessica Alba as Lena Thackleman, a BASA scientist and love interest for Scorch. Other notable voice actors include Sarah Jessica Parker, William Shatner, and George Lopez.
“Escape from Planet Earth” received mixed reviews from critics, with praise for its animation and humor, but criticism for its lack of originality and formulaic plot. However, it was a commercial success, grossing over $74 million worldwide.
