“Faults” is a 2014 independent psychological thriller film directed by Riley Stearns. The movie stars Leland Orser as Ansel Roth, a renowned cult deprogrammer who is hired by parents to rescue their daughter Claire (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) from a mysterious cult.
Ansel’s initial attempt to deprogram Claire fails, and he decides to take her to a motel to continue the process. As he spends more time with Claire, he starts to uncover disturbing information about her past and the cult she was involved in. As the lines between reality and delusion blur, Ansel must confront his own demons and the cult’s dangerous leader in order to save Claire.
The film received positive reviews from critics for its dark and twisted storyline and the performances of its lead actors.
