“Found” is a 2012 independent horror film directed by Scott Schirmer and based on the novel of the same name by Todd Rigney. The film tells the story of a young boy named Marty (played by Gavin Brown) who discovers that his older brother Steve (played by Ethan Philbeck) is a serial killer.
As Marty becomes increasingly obsessed with Steve’s activities, he begins to lose touch with reality and imagines that he is being visited by a demonic creature known as “Headless.” As the film progresses, Marty’s grip on reality becomes more tenuous, and he must confront the truth about his brother’s actions.
“Found” received critical acclaim for its inventive take on the horror genre, as well as its exploration of complex themes such as family, identity, and trauma. The film was also praised for its performances, particularly that of Gavin Brown as Marty. “Found” won several awards at film festivals, including Best Director at the 2012 Atlanta Horror Film Festival and Best Feature Film at the 2013 New Orleans Horror Film Festival.
