Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs is a 2009 American computer–animated comedy adventure film directed by Carlos Saldanha. The third installment of the Ice Age series, it follows the story of Manny, Sid, Diego, and the rest of the gang as they travel to a mysterious, underground world inhabited by dinosaurs. The film was met with generally positive reviews, with critics praising the animation, vocal performances, and action sequences. It grossed over $886 million worldwide, becoming the highest–grossing animated film of the year and the fourth–highest–grossing film of 2009.
