Quantum of Solace is a 2008 British–American spy film and the 22nd entry in the James Bond film series. The film stars Daniel Craig as James Bond, who is on a mission to investigate the connection between a missing agent and criminal mastermind Dominic Greene, played by Mathieu Amalric. The film was directed by Marc Forster and written by Paul Haggis, Neal Purvis, and Robert Wade. The film was well–received by critics, who praised the performances, Bond‘s characterization, action sequences, and musical score. The film grossed over $586 million worldwide, making it the second–highest–grossing James Bond film, after Skyfall.
