Step Up 3D is a 2010 American 3D dance film directed by Jon M. Chu. The film stars Rick Malambri, Adam G. Sevani, Sharni Vinson, and Alyson Stoner, and features dance styles such as hip hop, popping, locking, and breaking. The story revolves around a tight–knit group of street dancers who must band together to defeat a rival team in a high–stakes showdown. The film was a commercial success, grossing over $159 million worldwide and receiving generally positive reviews from critics. It was the first installment in the Step Up film series to be released in 3D, and the only installment to not feature Channing Tatum in the lead role.
