The Family (2013)

“The Family” is a black comedy crime film released in 2013. It was directed by Luc Besson and stars Robert De Niro, Michelle Pfeiffer, and Tommy Lee Jones.

The movie follows the Manzoni family, a notorious mafia family who are relocated to Normandy, France as part of the witness protection program. Despite their efforts to start a new life and assimilate into the community, the family finds it hard to leave their old ways behind and soon attracts the attention of the local authorities.

Robert De Niro plays Giovanni Manzoni, the patriarch of the family who is trying to keep his family together while living in hiding. Michelle Pfeiffer plays his wife, Maggie, who is struggling with the isolation of their new life. Tommy Lee Jones plays the FBI agent tasked with keeping them safe.

The film received mixed reviews, with some critics praising the performances of the cast while others criticized the film’s violent content and lack of originality.
