The Infidel is a 2010 British comedy film directed by Josh Appignanesi and starring Omid Djalili, Richard Schiff, Matt Lucas, Archie Panjabi, and Yigal Naor. The film follows Mahmud Nasir (Djalili), a middle–aged Muslim man living in London, who discovers he was adopted as an infant and his birth parents are Jewish. The film follows Mahmud as he attempts to reconcile his Muslim faith with his newfound Jewish heritage. The film was released to generally positive reviews, with Djalili‘s performance being praised by many critics.
