The Lorax (2012)

“The Lorax” is a 2012 American 3D computer-animated musical fantasy comedy film based on the 1971 children’s book of the same name by Dr. Seuss. The film was directed by Chris Renaud and Kyle Balda and features the voices of Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, Danny DeVito, and Ed Helms.

The movie is set in a polluted world where nature has been destroyed and tells the story of a young boy named Ted (voiced by Zac Efron) who is on a mission to find a real tree in order to impress his crush, Audrey (voiced by Taylor Swift). Ted sets out to find the Once-ler (voiced by Ed Helms), who tells him the story of how the land became so polluted and the magical creature, the Lorax (voiced by Danny DeVito), who tried to protect the trees and the animals that lived in them.

“The Lorax” received mixed reviews from critics, with some praising its colorful animation and catchy songs, while others criticized it for straying too far from the original book’s message. Despite the mixed reviews, the film was a box office success, grossing over $348 million worldwide.
