The story follows John Brennan (Russell Crowe), a community college teacher, whose wife Lara (Elizabeth Banks) is arrested and convicted of a murder she claims she did not commit. Despite exhausting all legal options, John is convinced of his wife’s innocence and decides to take matters into his own hands. With the help of an ex-convict (Liam Neeson), John hatches a plan to break his wife out of prison and flee the country.
