“The Next Three Days” is a 2010 American thriller film directed by Paul Haggis and starring Russell Crowe, Elizabeth Banks, and Liam Neeson. The film is a remake of the 2008 French film “Pour elle” (Anything for Her).
The story follows John Brennan (Russell Crowe), a community college teacher, whose wife Lara (Elizabeth Banks) is arrested and convicted of a murder she claims she did not commit. Despite exhausting all legal options, John is convinced of his wife’s innocence and decides to take matters into his own hands. With the help of an ex-convict (Liam Neeson), John hatches a plan to break his wife out of prison and flee the country.
“The Next Three Days” received mixed reviews from critics, with some praising its suspenseful plot and strong performances from the cast, while others criticized its implausible storyline and lack of character development. Despite the mixed reviews, the film was a moderate commercial success, grossing over $67 million worldwide.
