Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue is a 2010 computer–animated fantasy film and the third installment of the Disney Fairies franchise produced by DisneyToon Studios. It revolves around Tinker Bell, a fairy character created by J.M. Barrie in his play Peter Pan, or The Boy Who Wouldn‘t Grow Up, and featured in subsequent adaptations and sequels. In the film, Tinker Bell is kidnapped by a human girl named Lizzy and taken to her home in the country, where she and her father have to come up with a way to return her to Pixie Hollow before the other fairies find out.
The film was met with positive reviews, with critics praising its visuals and voice acting, but criticizing its story. It was released in theatres on September 21, 2010.
