Tower Heist (2011)

“Tower Heist” is a crime-comedy film released in 2011, directed by Brett Ratner and starring Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy, and Casey Affleck. The movie follows a group of employees at a luxury apartment building who plot to steal back their stolen retirement fund from a wealthy businessman who has swindled them.

Stiller plays Josh Kovacs, the manager of the high-end apartment building known as the Tower. When he learns that one of the building’s wealthiest tenants, Arthur Shaw (played by Alan Alda), has embezzled the employees’ retirement funds, he enlists the help of his colleagues, including Charlie (Murphy) and Fitzhugh (Affleck), to plot a heist to steal back the stolen money.

As the group plans and executes the heist, they face a number of obstacles, including the watchful eye of an FBI agent (played by Tea Leoni) and their own internal disagreements and suspicions.

The film received mixed reviews from critics, with some praising the performances of the ensemble cast and the comedic elements, while others criticized the plot for being formulaic and predictable. Despite this, “Tower Heist” was a commercial success, grossing over $152 million worldwide.
